Friday, Saturday, Sunday, March 13-15, RAIN! Blessed beautiful rain! Posted re GBBD on Sunday. Break in rain allowed for pictures.

Monday, March 16: Posted Through the Garden Gate, want to do this weekly. Planted 3 fennel in back. Planted small milkweeds in corner bed. Planted 3 Berlandiera in corner bed (one droopy but had recovered by Wednesday). Planted rainlilies in rose bed and in back. Planted Furman's Red Salvia and 2 Penstemon (Red Rocks/Pike's Peak Purple) in corner bed. Planted 9 Columbine (canadensis) in Erythrina bed (added soil). Planted Oregano under Carefree Beauty (south) and in river birch bed. Moved crinum in trellis bed near other crinums. Dug some Hamelias & other stuff from trellis bed. Dug walking iris clumps on west side of pine and potted.

Tuesday, March 17: Don't think I did anything outside. Got sidetracked by need to clean up & organize upstairs!

Wednesday, March 18: Making one last stab at getting daffodils/hyacinths/ivory tulips to do something. Daffs on trellis. Dug up & separated tulips. They're probably toast. Hyacinths? Transplanted some larkspur seedlings on trellis to spots under vitex. Dug up and moved Sweet Almond Verbena back a couple of feet. Draped it w/frost cloth to help it adjust. Chinese Beautyberry dug up, washed off, replanted in pot. Planted 3 Penstemon in bed near DR patio. Clerodendron Musical Notes is muerte. Moved green onions to planter box. Moved some lettuce seedlings. Bloom on Purple Columbine and on one Louisiana Iris. What to do w/Marie Pavie? Moved Red Jatropha over. Put Marilyn's Choice in courtyard.

Wednesday, March 4th

WEDNESDAY
Watered Red Rocks & Pikes Peak penstemons
Cut back daylily foliage, cleaned out dead foliage, watered thoroughly.
Took 45 minute walk around park. Was too much on top of time outside. Paid for it Thurs.

THURSDAY
Didn't do anything at all because I was so wiped out by yesterday.
Carlos came by to talk about flagstone on the patios and in the courtyard.

FRIDAY
Tinka tulip bloomed: not white but pale yellow
Something's eating the larkspur!
What a dummy I was to think I could spray Round-Up on a breezy day w/o harming other plants. I'm seeing signs of drift around the rose bed. :-(
Picked up yard of soil. Picked out moss rock.

SATURDAY
I'll be darned, there's a Mexican Flame Vine blooming on the north side of the house.
Yanked quite a few cassias, 2 Erythrina, 1 grass, chile pequin.
Dug up & moved DV Cupheas to under Erythrina c-g.
Played with rocks again.

Monday, March 2nd

Planted 3 Stipa under Belinda's Dream in FP bed
Planted 3 Stipa at edge of that bed near path
Planted 1 fennel behind Caldwell Pink in that bed
Watered walking iris in pine bed
Moved one piece of Golden Oregano in FP bed
Moved rocks along mailbox bed to other side

Monday-Saturday, February 22nd-28th

MONDAY
Dug up Plumbago. Moved to back of bed by fence.
Dug & divided Holmskioldia. Planted one in front of Plumbago, one in pot.
Pruned roses in rose bed.
Pruned Rondeletia on kitchen wall.
Pruned Barbados Cherry on fireplace wall all the way back.
Hard pruned Zephirine Drouhin.
Put Oxalis Frances in pot
Planted Flamingo Plant/Water Celery by pond in 2 spots. Sunnier, so keep an eye out.
Dug up pentas from garage wall in back. Put one on back fence by column.
Moved pink/orange lantana to rose bed (divided into 2).
Little Paul Daylily moved to DL bed (edge near path)

TUESDAY
Dug up 2 milkweed from back and replanted them in river birch bed.
Almost severed cable in process so moved bull rocks/stream over to lie on top of cable.

WEDNESDAY
Long walk round RR park
Watered a lot
Round-Up sprayed everywhere that I could see it was needed

THURSDAY
1ST bloom stalk on Louisiana Iris (south fence near Carefree Beauty)

FRIDAY
Enchanted Forest: 12 Stipa, 5 bronze fennel, 1 trailing abutilon
Amy's tulips are blooming! Only 30 counted per picture, tho. ???

SATURDAY
Tomato-Pepper sale. 3525 tomatoes, 900 peppers, 140 eggplant, lots of herbs & roses sold!
